What is this all about?
We've set our goal to try to keep the pricing for Remembering Gale the same over the years (as best as possible). Sadly that doesn't always work and especially with online sales there's a lot of additional costs that we don't want to add on top of the comics price. This is what this postcard is for!
For anybody wanting more info on our additional costs:
PayPal: Yes, PayPal is very convenient, still it comes with a package of additional costs that we are legally not allowed to put into our customers invoice. Also paying through Friends/Family could be flagged by PayPal and have our account banned (which would not be great...) . We pay an additional fee of 2,49% + 0,35€ on every purchase.
Packaging Licence: Yes, this is a thing in germany. It basically means that everyone that sends products via postal service is responsible to pay a fee for the packaging, in order to make sure to not additionally burden the environment. So we're paying a monthly licence-fee for that.
VAT: Due to us being both freelancers by now we have to pay value added taxes. This means that from each sold comic around 1 Euro is being deducted as tax. Since we don't want to raise the 15€ price for you all, we're volunatrily taking the loss.
These are only three of many small hurdles we have to face trying to sell stuff online!
